Flagship data resilience platform introduces expanded multi-hypervisor support, disaster recovery runbooks for orchestrated recovery, modernized Arcserve Console, and ArcGenie AI assistant.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — June 11, 2026 — Arcserve, the pioneer in unified data resilience solutions, today showcased Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) 11, a major update to the flagship data resilience platform, complemented by updates to Arcserve Cyber Resilient Storage 2.0 for integrated cloud and on-premises immutable storage. The new data resilience solutions were unveiled at today’s Arcserve global virtual event, UDP 11: Data Resilience for the AI Era, which is available for on-demand viewing.

UDP 11 combines AI-assisted operations, expanded multi-hypervisor support, orchestrated disaster recovery, a modernized Arcserve Console, and flexible immutable storage deployment to help IT teams strengthen recovery confidence across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

With the new developments, Arcserve addresses converging market pressures facing small and midsize organizations: rising ransomware risk, shifting virtualization economics, growing expectations for AI-assisted operations, and increasing recovery demands. UDP 11 responds with capabilities designed to simplify administration, accelerate issue resolution, expand workload coverage, and make ransomware defense more accessible and practical.

"UDP 11 represents significant advancements, arriving at a critical moment for the customer organizations and services partners that depend on reliable data resilience,” said Chris Babel, CEO at Arcserve. “With AI-assisted operations through ArcGenie, expanded multi-hypervisor support including agentless Proxmox protection, orchestrated disaster recovery with DR Runbooks, and flexible immutable storage deployment, UDP 11 gives lean IT teams the capabilities they need to strengthen recovery confidence—without adding complexity or cost. The Arcserve product direction reflects what customers and partners tell us consistently: data resilience needs to work across real-world environments, and it needs to be simpler, faster, and more accessible than large platforms or a combination of point solutions.”

Disaster Recovery Runbooks Transform Backup Infrastructure into Verified Recovery Capability

DR Runbooks for Arcserve UDP* transform backup infrastructure into a verified disaster recovery capability. Organizations can build reusable recovery configurations, sequence sources in the exact order systems need to come back online, and schedule automated disaster recovery tests—monthly, quarterly, or on demand—aligned to compliance requirements.

Each test deploys real AWS resources, validates recovery, and cleans up automatically, generating audit-ready evidence with zero manual effort. With support for Arcserve Cloud Storage and Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage as sources, DR Runbooks delivers operational resilience without the complexity or cost of a secondary data center.

Most organizations know their backups are running, but Arcserve helps IT leaders prove recovery will work during a real disaster and meet recovery time objectives. DR Runbooks address the critical gap between stored recovery points and verified, repeatable recoverability—turning backup confidence into audit-ready proof of recovery.

Agentless Proxmox Protection Expands Multi-Hypervisor Flexibility

UDP 11 adds agentless, API-driven protection for Proxmox virtual machines alongside existing agentless and agent-based virtualization support for VMware EXSI, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV. IT teams can evaluate or adopt Proxmox without compromising VM protection—and without deploying agents on each guest OS.

Proxmox adoption is accelerating among small and midsize organizations as a lower-cost hypervisor option. According to the Arcserve 2026 State of Data Resilience Survey, 72.3% of market respondents indicated active plans to evaluate or change hypervisor platforms, and 10.3% of those moving away from VMware are planning a shift to Proxmox Virtual Environment.

UDP agentless backup reduces operational overhead with a purpose-built Linux backup proxy that aligns natively with the Proxmox ecosystem, eliminating a hidden cost layer. Organizations migrating from VMware can protect Proxmox workloads with the same trusted UDP backup platform.

ArcGenie AI Assistant Brings Intelligent Guidance to Backup Operations

ArcGenie is an AI-powered assistant embedded in the Arcserve Console experience. Administrators can ask natural-language questions, receive guided troubleshooting, and generate operational health insights—without leaving the management interface.

The result: faster, verified answers, less time spent searching documentation, and more confidence in completing backup and recovery tasks. Less-experienced administrators receive step-by-step guidance through complex workflows, while experienced administrators use ArcGenie to identify issues more quickly and summarize system health. ArcGenie builds on the AI-enabled features introduced in UDP 10.3 and demonstrates the Arcserve commitment to adopting AI to help customers manage fast-changing ransomware protection needs.

Arcserve Console Modernizes the Management Experience with Deployment Choice

Arcserve Console is the updated management experience for UDP 11, available as a SaaS-managed option and as Arcserve Console – On-Premises. The SaaS option delivers the modern management experience without the need to deploy, maintain, patch, or operate console infrastructure. The on-premises option gives organizations the same updated interface inside their own environment, with local control over management data, metadata, logs, audit information, authentication, and operations.

UDP 11 introduces guided onboarding, refreshed dashboard usability, and a clear migration path from the legacy UDP Console. Organizations with governance, compliance, data sovereignty, or internal hosting requirements can modernize operations without giving up control over where the management environment runs.

Additional UDP 11 Enhancements include

  • Licensing in Arcserve Console integrates end-to-end entitlement management, real-time consumption tracking, and proactive alerting under a single management experience.
  • Expanded cloud data center support increases global cloud storage locations for Arcserve Cloud Storage and Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage.

"UDP 11 delivers meaningful advances in how organizations approach data resilience and recovery readiness. ArcGenie brings AI-guided intelligence directly into backup operations, reducing the time administrators spend searching documentation and troubleshooting issues,” said Michael Lin, Executive Vice President, Product and Technology, Arcserve “DR Runbooks enables automated recovery validation that turns backup confidence into audit-ready proof of recoverability. Agentless Proxmox support gives organizations the freedom to modernize virtualization strategies without compromising protection. These capabilities address the complexity that IT teams face daily—and the growing expectation that recovery will work when it matters most."

Arcserve Cyber Resilient Storage 2.0 Brings VM Capabilities to Accelerate Immutable Storage Adoption

Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage** can now be deployed as a virtual machine, adding speed and flexibility to ransomware defense. Organizations facing hardware procurement delays, data center constraints, or cost sensitivity can deploy immutable storage on the hypervisor platform of their choice—without waiting for dedicated hardware.

Virtual Cyber Resilient Storage provides the same immutable snapshot capability and cyber resilience protection as the physical deployment option. According to the Arcserve State of Data Resilience Survey 2026, only 49.2% of respondents had deployed immutable backup storage—a foundational ransomware defense. Virtual deployment reduces adoption friction and makes immutable storage more accessible, especially for organizations running standardized virtual infrastructure. It also helps organizations avoid the costs and delays of procuring additional hardware in a market shaped by supply constraints and rising infrastructure costs.

Additional Enhancements in Cyber Resilient Storage 2.0

  • UEFI Secure Boot for Cyber Resilient Storage strengthens deployment posture with a signed UEFI Secure Boot chain for bare metal and major hypervisors, unblocking deployments where Secure Boot is enforced and aligning with CIS and Zero Trust baselines.
  • Network bonding for Cyber Resilient Storage provides network-level high availability through automatic NIC failover, keeping backup and restore operations running through link or hardware outages.
  • Cyber Resilient Storage login health banner surfaces time sync, ZFS pool health, disk SMART status, and failed-login audit on each SSH login, reducing mean time to detect hardware and security issues.
