Arcserve introduced Cyber Resilient Storage, a reliable and cost-effective option for ransomware protection and compliance alignment by delivering immutable backup storage for cloud and on-premises workloads, seamlessly integrated with Arcserve UDP 10. 
UDP 10.3 delivered new AI-powered anomaly detection capabilities, which allows IT leaders to identify known threats through signature-based scanning, plus recognize suspicious patterns and behaviors that signature-based tools and humans might miss. 

2024

Arcserve unveils UDP 10, an evolutionary step for the product lineup at Arcserve, which offered enhanced malware detection, flexible disaster recovery, improved data resilience, and versatile cloud support.

Arcserve, the world’s most experienced data and ransomware protection provider, merged with StorageCraft, a category-leading creator of intelligent data protection, converged primary and secondary scale-out storage platforms, and world-class cloud backup and DRaaS services. The new Arcserve is a pioneer in unified data resilience, protecting data from ransomware, cyberattacks, and disasters through simple, flexible, and affordable data protection solutions for small and mid-size organizations. 

2019

Arcserve introduces its third appliance series: the market’s first integrated appliances designed for disaster recovery, enabling companies to spin up copies of physical and virtual systems directly on-appliance, or in private and public clouds.

2018

Arcserve UDP Cloud Direct is unveiled: The first cloud-native BaaS and DRaaS solution that combines full failover protection with consumer-grade usability and abolishes the need for a local appliance.

Arcserve Business Continuity Cloud is introduced: the market’s first fully integrated solution to prevent IT disasters from all three generations of IT infrastructures, on-premises and in the cloud, with flexible RTOs, RPOs, and SLAs. 

2017

Arcserve acquires Zetta and expands its offerings with cloud-native BaaS and DRaaS. 

2016

Arcserve introduces the second UDP appliance series with expanded capacity to protect up to 240 TB of source data. 

2015

Arcserve introduced UDP Appliances, combining award-winning UDP software with purpose-built backup and recovery appliances for a cost-effective “set and forget” solution. 
Arcserve introduces cloud data protection with Arcserve Cloud, a service extension to our UDP platform, for offsite data retention and disaster recovery. 

2014

Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) software was introduced: The first software to combine industry-proven backup, replication, high availability, and true global deduplication technologies in a single, unified solution.
The Arcserve product line becomes a standalone, private company under the ownership of Marlin Equity Partners.

1996

CA Technologies acquires Cheyenne Software and the ARCserve products. 

1990

ARCserve BACKUP was introduced to automatically copy system information so that mishaps, such as power failures and equipment malfunction, would not destroy or erase it. ARCserve BACKUP quickly becomes a flagship product.

1988

NetBack was launched: the first proprietary software program designed to back up, or copy and store data. 

1983

Established as Cheyenne Software Inc. to develop and sell software for the emerging LAN market.
