EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — June 4, 2026 — Arcserve, a leader in data resilience solutions, announced today the release of Arcserve  ShadowProtect 8.0 and Arcserve ImageManager 8.1, delivering enhancements built for managed service providers (MSPs) that need fast, reliable recovery, lower operational overhead, and more flexibility across customer environments.

The release adds native, host-based Microsoft Hyper-V protection in ShadowProtect, a scalable and flexible data resilience solution for MSPs, as a complementary option to proven agent-based protection, giving MSPs a more cost-effective option to apply the right protection model to the right workload. It also advances ImageManager verification visibility and reporting for agent-based backups to improve recovery validation, auditability, and day-to-day operational oversight.

This also includes an extended API that feeds verification data into dashboards, reporting systems, and automation tools—reducing manual effort and improving scalability

  • Expanded MSP flexibility to use agent-based protection where application awareness matters and host-based protection where scale and simplicity are the priority

Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage Extends Immutable Protection for MSP Service Tiers  

Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage extends the Arcserve MSP stack with immutable cloud storage that integrates with ShadowProtect workflows through ImageManager. Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage delivers the immutable copy in the 3‑2‑1‑1‑0 backup strategy (the final “1”), storing backups as tamper‑proof snapshots that cannot be altered or deleted.

Capabilities highlighted for MSP service delivery include:  

  • Immutable cloud storage to support ransomware defense strategies  

  • Integrated workflows intended to simplify management and service packaging

SaaS Backup Enables MSPs to Extend Data Protection to Critical SaaS Applications  

Arcserve SaaS Backup is a cloud-native, cloud-to-cloud backup solution designed to protect data hosted in SaaS application clouds, supporting MSP service tiers that cover both infrastructure and SaaS data.
