National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCAM)—a collaborative effort between government and industry.
Over the past few years we’ve seen an explosion of internet-connected devices. While most of us probably picture our phones and our PCs when we talk about devices, that’s just a small slice of the pie. According to Statista, the number of mobile devices—phones and the like—stood at
14.02 billion in 2020. Now, with the onset of the internet of things (IoT) era, Statista reports that the total number of connected IoT devices will rocket from
22 billion in 2018 to 38.6 billion by 2025. That’s a lot of devices! What do all those devices mean in terms of data security? Unfortunately, each of those new, connected devices presents another opportunity for cybercriminals to potentially access your network and your data.
