ShadowProtect SPX is an attractive backup solution for VM’s in the Cloud. Today with ransomware risks, it is highly desirable to protect data regularly. The ability to consistently and regularly backup throughout the day offers very good RPO while people work (they won’t even notice) so you don’t risk losing irreplaceable data. StorageCraft Technical Support team will support installations of SPX on supported operating systems in AWS or Azure VM’s and SPX will correctly detect and activate with a Virtual license. Please note AWS and Azure do not currently support booting a VM from an ISO image. The ShadowProtect Recovery Environment is required for a system volume restore, therefore at this time, you may backup a system volume (i.e. C Drive) and perform file and folder recovery however only full restore of data volumes are supported. StorageCraft Professional Services may be able to assist with workaround options however; you should discuss your options here and consider a POC in advance to any deployment.
