MINNEAPOLIS – February 26, 2019Arcserve, LLC, the world’s most experienced data protection provider, today announced the appointment of Stephen Thomas as its Senior Vice President of Sales, North America. Thomas, an industry veteran, brings more than 20 years of experience leading transformational sales efforts in both startups and large enterprise organizations. He will oversee the development and delivery of regional sales strategies to accelerate Arcserve’s nearly 15 percent growth in market share.

According to Gartner, the overall backup and recovery market continued to expand in 2017, with total revenue exceeding $5.7 billion. Thomas will capitalize on this market opportunity in North America by optimizing the company’s sales and enablement plans to exceed revenue goals. “Over the past six months, we have rolled out two major product launches, built out a stronger channel sales and marketing team, and invested heavily in telling the Arcserve story on a broader scale,” said Adam Olson, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Arcserve. “Stephen’s knowledge, leadership and channel relationships fit perfectly with our vision for growth. Our market is incredibly competitive, which is why having Stephen will help us continue to grab market share as we go head-to-head with those who don’t have the same 35-year history of experience and innovation behind them.”

Prior to joining Arcserve, Thomas served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Armor, a cloud security company, where he was responsible for building routes to market, spearheading international expansion, and amplifying the company’s partner channels. Thomas also previously held senior sales leadership positions at Cyberbit, Symantec, and MessageOne (Dell).

“I was drawn to Arcserve because of the massive growth opportunity and the team’s channel-first engagement and execution,” said Thomas. “They really take the time to sit down with partners and develop go-to-market strategies that will work for them, which is something not often seen in this space. And as someone who’s worked with partners from the get go, I know just how important it is to pay more than lip service to building relationships. I’m excited to work with Arcserve’s strong channel community and offer customers the best in disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.”
