On November 20th, we had an IT Professionals Happy Hour at Fulton Brewery in Minneapolis. The event was hosted by the Productive Corporation and took place from 4-6. It was a cold night, as the weather was below 10 degrees on this Thursday, but that did not stop the crowd from coming to the event to enjoy a cold beer and lively conversation with the Arcserve & Productive Corp sales team.  The event featured some great local beer and a Food truck that made some great Kabobs for everyone.

We had a large crowd of prospects and clients attend the event to learn about how Arcserve UDP can help them simplify their backup strategies and improve their DR strategies. The Arcserve team had  Jay Kleffman and I speak for about 15 minutes on the new Arcserve Unified Data Protection solution to the group. We had a good combination of current customers who were interested in upgrading from Arcserve Backup to UDP. One financial services customer has been using Arcserve backup for over 8 years and loved what they saw in the new release of Arcserve. We also spoke with clients that were unhappy with solutions like Symantec and Veeam. They were looking for one solution that can provide protection for both physical and virtual, and that can provide simple restore capabilities.

Overall the event was a great success. It gave these local IT professionals a chance to express some of their current pain points today with their backup solutions.  It also gave the Arcserve team the opportunity to put these guys at ease knowing we have a great solution to address those concerns, and allow them to focus on their business at hand.
