Arcserve LLC is celebrating its first full year as an independent company, and what a year it was! Since the spinout from CA Technologies, we’ve embraced our ability to be nimble by establishing a new headquarters and launching the award-winning Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) solution for virtual, physical and cloud in both software and appliance options. What’s more, we’ve hired over 170 employees globally and expanded our reach to over 43,000 end users in 150 countries. In commemoration of our successful first year, we look back at where we’ve been and most importantly, where we’re headed.

Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP)

Increasingly, organizations are struggling with striking the right balance between finding cost-effective and simple, yet powerful and comprehensive backup and recovery for data across multiple locations and environments. We stepped to this challenge and developed Arcserve UDP, based on a next generation unified architecture for virtual, physical and cloud environments. Its unmatched ease of use and Assured Recovery™ capabilities set it apart from other data protection solutions, which is underscored by an increase in implementation of nearly 144% this past year. Not surprisingly, the industry has taken notice. UDP was named Storage Product of the Year at the 2015 DCS Awards and Backup and Disaster Recovery Product of the Year by Storage Magazine.

Arcserve UDP Appliance – Six New Models

Furthering our commitment to innovation, we launched the Arcserve UDP 7000 Appliance Series, the first all-in-one data protection appliance powered by UDP. As the first true “set and forget” solution with a unique combination of agile capabilities and simplicity, it earned a PC Pro Recommendation as a top choice for protecting physical and virtual systems, with PC Pro calling it extremely easy to use and quick to deploy, noting “it took only 21 minutes to add the appliance to our domain.” On the heels of its 700% sales growth over the last fiscal year, we are pleased to announce and expanded offering with six new models to protect up to 90 TB of source data.

New Arcserve Cloud

Most recently in July 2015, we launched the Arcserve Cloud, a single solution for backup, disaster recovery, and long-term retention that empowers SMBs and mid-sized organizations to complete their on premise data protection strategy with cloud-based Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS). Fully integrated with the UDP Appliance, the Arcserve Cloud provides secure offsite disaster recovery without up-front investment and maintenance of secondary sites, infrastructure and personnel. For business continuity, the Arcserve Cloud offers remote virtual standby for emergency application failover and failback.

100% Channel Commitment

As an independent company, we are 100% focused on the channel and committed to accelerating partner success. In April we forged an exclusive alliance with Ingram Micro to increase speed of business and expand our reach throughout the North American IT channel. Shortly thereafter, we launched the Arcserve Partner Program to ensure our partners receive the leads, bottom-line results and support they need with no risk of conflicts. This year alone, the program has supported over 7,200 partners and service providers worldwide.

Looking Ahead

We believe that 2015 was just the beginning and are gearing up for an exciting future. With a robust product roadmap, we are continuing our momentum with a forth coming major new release of the UDP platform, expanded geographic coverage for the Arcserve Cloud and aggressively looking at additional offerings for our solution portfolio. As Jason Buffington, senior analyst for data protection at Enterprise Strategy Group states, “Considering the two-decade data protection pedigree of Arcserve, it’s been exciting to see them thrive in their new independence: congratulations on year one.”
