Corporate Controller

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the Company’s worldwide financial reporting obligations both internal and externally to its owners, lenders and governmental agencies, including overseeing the management of the consolidated financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance, along with reviewing the Company’s internal controls are adequate. This position will also be responsible for managing the Company’s worldwide finance team across five main geographical locations to ensure the completion of a timely close and reporting cycle on a monthly basis. This individual will also be responsible for the Company’s quarterly lender reporting as well as the primary point person for the annual audit. Individual will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the Company’s tax compliance, including state and local tax issues, foreign tax compliance as well as transfer pricing documentation for all the various countries the Company sells into and out of.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status
  • Maintain accurate financial statements, forecasts, and controls
  • Support the CFO on all daily and tactical responsibilities relative to the company’s business objectives
  • Oversee all monthly and year-end closings and quarterly tax documentation
  • Keep the CFO and team continually apprised of the company’s financial position relative to plan
  • Manage the company’s financial plans/policies, accounting-finance practices, relationships with financial institutions, management of fiscal records, and preparation of reports
  • Provide recommendations on actions to take based on various analyses
  • Facilitate regular Finance Department team meetings
  • Manage communication through facilitation, meetings, reporting and dashboards.
  • Define and track financial and other key performance indicators
  • Develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status
  • Oversee and optimize cash flow, including the oversight of the Company’s 13-week cash forecast and cash planning
  • Assist Director of FP&A in the preparation and review of detailed budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ensure management is aware of budgets and overages; work with “C” level employees and their direct reports to resolve any related issues
  • Evaluate existing finance processes to determine if any efficiency improvements are required
  • Ability to travel as required including some international
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of assigned team
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience to meet the essential functions of the position
  • Ten plus years of progressive experience in the Finance with strong knowledge of GAAP and all aspects of general accounting.
  • Software Revenue recognition experience required
  • Five plus years of management experience
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills and the ability to translate complex company objectives into actionable plans
  • Strong decision-making abilities

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • MBA
  • Highly motivated self-starter and strategic thinker with the ability to work effectively in a demanding and challenging environment
  • Ability to influence and build consensus with people across all levels and functions
  • Experience in technology solutions, services, software and industry knowledge in the storage, security, or data protection marketplace a plus. Working within a multi-national Company is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of building strong professional relationships
