Graphic Design Manager

Job Summary:

Creative, detail-orientated professional, responsible for leading graphic design strategy and execution across multiple platforms, formats and media in support of sales growth, customer and partner engagement, retention, brand loyalty, company functions and leadership teams. The primary purpose of this position is to develop creative and unique graphic content strategies that bring Arcserve’s brand and portfolio to life. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will work closely with the global marketing team, product marketing, product management, sales, and functional leadership to ensure all graphic design strategies and content are in line with overall business goals. With a focus on original content development, you will need to understand the challenges of producing engaging, performance-based content for the B2B space, preferably within the technology industry.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the graphic design and tactical execution and production based on strategic marketing plan that considers business goals, customer and partner needs, and SEO methodologies
  • Define and execute an annual design content strategy to support overall company and marketing strategy
  • Design assets that support a wide variety of initiatives, such as: emails, online ads, landing pages, social posts, videos and more
  • Manage design resources, and partner with SMEs, external agencies, industry influencers and publishers to drive graphic design strategy execution from ideation to completion
  • Generate competitor and customer insights analysis and marketing trends related to the role and responsibilities
  • Collaborate and support the marketing, sales and leaderships teams with content design ideas, strategies, initiatives and projects as needed
  • Use creative storytelling and ideation to develop strategic graphic content that support projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with all functional areas of the organization to determine design requirements and ensure correct use of corporate visual guidelines
  • Perform competitive site reviews and audits that benchmark graphic design content breadth, organization and presentation
  • Own quality of deliverables and provide exceptional customer and partner-facing service as required
  • Develop and refine graphic design process and workflows as needed to improve efficiency and quality
  • Provide editorial graphic content and strategic recommendations for projects and functions
  • Measure and analyze performance; maintain strong knowledge of the industry and graphic design content marketing best practices to continually deliver fresh and engaging visual pleasing work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or equivalent combination of education and related work experience to meet the essential functions of the position
  • Five plus years of experience in graphic design, content strategy design, execution and marketing in a professional, in-house or related external experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CSS, html, JavaScript or related applications or technologies
  • Knowledge of best practices in digital advertisements, email, and landing pages (UI/UX) with a strong capability to extend creative assets across various platforms and devices (static, gif, video/motion graphics, etc.)
  • Understanding of and experience with interactive design, including knowledge of how web, email and digital ads are built
  • Must have strong MS Office and computer skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15% or as required

  • Requires design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles
  • Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work with a diverse group of professional marketers
  • Experience with frontend and backend web development leveraging WordPress a plus
