CA ARCserve^® Backup
Targeted toward small to medium organizations, component licensing allows you to license the exact CA ARCserve Backup editions, components, agents and options needed to provide data protection for your current environment. As your configuration changes or your needs grows additional components should be licensed to maintain adequate protection.

CA ARCserve^® D2D
Licensed per protected server, there are multiple component editions of CA ARCserve D2D available to support your Windows Server and Workstation operating systems depending on your specific needs.

CA ARCserve^® Central Applications
Licensed per protected virtual host on a 'per host' and/or 'per instance' basis and per protected physical server on a 'per instance' basis, CA ARCserve Central Applications offers simple and flexible licensing options to meet customer needs. CA ARCserve® Central Protection Manager and CA ARCserve® Central Reporting are freely downloadable applications available with any/every CA ARCserve® D2D purchase AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

CA ARCserve^® Replication
Licensed individually for each master and replica server, CA ARCserve Replication component licenses are available to meet your physical and virtual server needs as well as specific Windows, Linux or UNIX operating system editions.

CA ARCserve^® High Availability
Licensed individually for each master and replica server, CA ARCserve High Availability component licenses are available to meet your physical and virtual server needs as well as specific Windows, Linux or UNIX operating .

Module Based Licensing

Targeted toward medium to large organizations with evolving backup needs, modular licensing simplifies the configuration of CA ARCserve Backup by eliminates the need to know exactly what editions, agents or options go on each specific server. For each server being protected, simply license it based on its core role:

File Server, Database Server, Email Server, or Application Server.

Module with D2D and Replication Based Licensing model, previously known as 'Solution Based Licensing' is built on top of Module Based licensing and provides access to combined offering of CA ARCserve Backup, CA ARCserve D2D and CA ARCserve Replication.

4 Module with D2D and Replication’ bundles are built as an extension to Modules based pricing:

• File Server with D2D and Replication
• Database Server with D2D and Replication
• Email Server with D2D and Replication,
• Application Server with D2D and Replication.

File Server with D2D and Replication is bundled with 1 x 'CA ARCserve D2D r16 for Windows Server Standard Edition' and 2 x CA ARCserve Replication for file data only (excl Assured Recovery) and remaining 3 are bundled with 1 x 'CA ARCserve D2D r16 for Windows Server Advanced Edition' and 2 x CA ARCserve Replication for applications (excl Assured Recovery).

*CA ARCserve Backup, CA ARCserve D2D and CA ARCserve^® Replication may be installed on 2 separate servers.

Capacity Based Licensing

The CA ARCserve Managed Capacity Program (MCP) is designed for companies with complex IT environments and highly demanding requirements. MCP licensing is designed to make it easy to purchase and deploy a CA ARCserve solution. MCP is licensed per “protected Terabyte” and allows unlimited access to the selected bundled product technology to protect up to the license capacity purchased. A customer may choose the “Recovery Point Objective (RPO)” MCP solution bundle or the Recovery Time Objective-Recovery Point Objective (RPO-RTO)” All Inclusive MCP solution bundle based on their needs. Then they select the capacity license (in increments of 1TB) that matches the volume of data they will protect.

CA ARCserve^® RPO Managed Capacity License
Provides you with unlimited use of CA ARCserve® Backup (including all server editions, agents and options), CA ARCserve D2D (including all CA ARCserve® Central Applications) and CA ARCserve® Replication (file-only) - up to the maximum TB capacity licensed.

CA ARCserve^® RPO-RTO (All-Inclusive) Managed Capacity License
Provides you with unlimited use of CA ARCserve Backup (including all server editions, agents and options), CA ARCserve D2D (including all CA ARCserve Central Applications), CA ARCserve Replication (file and application) and CA ARCserve High Availability - up to the maximum TB capacity licensed.

Per-Socket Licensing

The CA ARCserve Per-Socket Licensing is designed for companies with virtual server environments and highly demanding requirements. Per-Socket licensing is designed to make it easy to purchase and deploy a CA ARCserve solution. Per-Socket licensing allows unlimited access to the selected bundled ARCserve product technology to protect an unlimited number of virtual machines (VMs) deployed within one socket (with unlimited cores). Each socket in a hypervisor (host) requires its own license. A customer may choose the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) Per-Socket bundle or the Recovery Time Objective-Recovery Point Objective (RPO-RTO) Per-Socket bundle based on their data protection needs. Then they order the number of licenses that matches the total number of sockets being protected. In addition, customers may use the ARCserve bundled technology to protect the hypervisor (host) itself.

CA ARCserve^® RPO Per-Socket Solution Bundle License
Provides you with unlimited use of CA ARCserve^® Backup (including all server editions, agents and options), CA ARCserve^® D2D (including all CA ARCserve^® Central Applications) and CA ARCserve^® Replication (file-only) for one socket. Each socket requires its own license.

CA ARCserve^® RPO-RTO (All-Inclusive) Per-Socket Solution Bundle License
Provides you with unlimited use of CA ARCserve Backup (including all server editions, agents and options), CA ARCserve D2D (including all CA ARCserve Central Applications), CA ARCserve Replication (file and application) and CA ARCserve High Availability for one socket. Each socket requires its own license.

Competetive and Version Upgrades

In addition to the above full product licensing options, CA also offers many comparable licensed products for customers looking to upgrade from a licensed competitive product or prior licensed version of CA ARCserve software.

Maintenance and Support

CA ARCserve licensed products are traditionally made available with either 1 year or 3 years of maintenance and technical support. Availability and terms will vary by region.

Monthly Subscription Licensing

Monthly Subscription Licensing available exclusively to Authorized Managed Service Providers, provides a flexible and economical way for MSPs to license core ARCserve technology to provide services to their customers. MSPs can license on a per “protected” server or per “protected” capacity model.

CA Technologies ARCserve Managed Service Providers who make minimum purchase orders of USD $2,000 every month will be able to select from one of below four SKUs (in any combination) where any or all of the functionality from CA ARCserve Backup, CA ARCserve RHA, and CA ARCserve D2D, and ARCserve Central Applications may be utilized:

• CA ARCserve Per- Socket - Service Provider Licensing - Minimum USD $2K Per Month Order Required - Subscription 1 Month
• CA ARCserve Per- Workstation - Service Provider Licensing - Minimum USD $2K Per Month Order Required - Subscription 1 Month
• CA ARCserve Per-Server - Service Provider Licensing - Minimum USD $2K Per Month Order Required - Subscription 1 Month
• CA ARCserve Per-TB - Service Provider Licensing - Minimum USD $2K Per Month Order Required - Subscription 1 Month
